Bitter Fruit Of Palestine Up date

Over 300 hits on You Tube
Sakini excerpt has over 200

I am now planning with Fil de Void to place another seven excerpts which will cover virtually the whole of the monologue with suitably meaty headings.
I watched a wonderful interview by Jacqueline Rose with Avi Shlaim and Shlomo Sands on verso link
Witty, charming and intelligent they confirmed the iniquities of the Zionists
If you want to realise the nastiness inherent in Zionism you should have watched The Channel Four programme on The Haredim, ignorant obscurantist and racist and misogynistic to the
core of their beings

The Climate Ranger

Contacted by a student from Kingston University, Morris Marah, a charming and vital young man, about Climate Ranger play
I have agreed to direct the Play, met up with a group on Monday night and at the suggestion of some of the students revised the script.
There is a possibility that it will be performed at The Rose Theatre Kingston
Although the kid's version has been published on scriptsforschools in USA, lazybees have turned it down
C'est la vie
I have a very talented group of older people at my Creative Writing Group in East Ham and it is a pleasure to work with them
The Drama group of children is a little more problematic but nothing that can't be sorted out.
As ever slow start with Bitter Fruit on You Tube and as ever little response from the organisations I support or take an interest in.
Playing Mozart
Also approached by Val Wiseman a jazz singer with a project on The Bronte Family
She has a great voice.
We shall see where it goes.

Bitter Fruit of Palestine Launch on YouTube

WE are now on Youtube and vimeo .com.
It looks okay and Fil de Void has done a great job of the background shots
Have spent the weekend emailing and posting out the news
We have had over ninety hits on Sakini and a hundred combined on Bush and Nathan

Went to book launch at Amnesty International for Kathy and Bill Christison's Palestine In Pieces which is well written, brave and unstinting in its laying out of the evils of the Israelis'regime of ethnic cleansing. The Israelis' hatred of the Arabs is manifest and the methods employed to subjugate the Palestinians horrific and heart breaking to read.
The book should be required reading for schools and universities.
The wild places by Robert Macfarlane is elegiac and absorbing.
Dreaming War by Gore Vidal potent and amusing
A Fury for God by Malise Ruthven excellent and informative on Islam and America
Storm and tempest in Britain but lovely day in Battersea Park, Two cormorants and the Henry Moores looked glorious.

Harold Evans A Moral Atrocity

The Guardian and Harold Evans

Free speech is sacrosanct but to give a screaming racist like Harold Evans space to write rubbish and reveal an appalling lack of knowledge on Israeli/Palestinian history is pushing the margins, unless an immediate reply is allowed to as prominent a public figure as little Harold, small in stature but a pigmy in intellect.
He writes that Hamas should have done what Israel did,
"take a piece of land and build a model state".
That leaves me almost speechless.
Surely he meant "Steal a piece of land" ?
I have come across Evans before in his guise of defender of Israel and his writings then were as negligent of the rights and ambitions of the Palestinians
A pox on his house and all who sail with him

Books

The Rise and Rise of Richard. B Cheney excellent expose of a crook byJames Mann
The Rise of The Vulcans by John Nichols ditto but this time all of them, especially the sinister Wolfowitz
Khirbet Khizeh by S. Yizhar Wonderfully poetic, sad and damning account of an Israeli patrol in Palestine in 1948
Promising book by Cullen Murphy on parallels between America and Rome
Films An old video of Three Stooges which made us howl with laughter, every trick in the book with pie throwing and bashing of each other
Bliss.
Grand Guignol of Cape Fear with De Niro off the wall.
To Film Fesival on Sunday for sequel to Sexy Beast.

Krishnamurti Second Thoughts

Krisnamurti ?
After reading Mary Lutyens, Life and Death of Krishnamurti I need to regroup, rethink on K
Why so many disclaimers to be a guru when he clearly is/was
What are all these mysterious happenings in his mind and body ?
Why did he change his mind towards the end of his life and worry about his legacy ?
He seems to have passed a life of pleasure and ease surrounded by adoring women including the long suffering Mary Zimbalist
He loved luxury and always lived in splendid abodes
What of the poor and needy in his life ?
Similarities with Jesus ?
Devoted disciples, suffering and an agonised and drawn out death
Betrayed by Rajagopal over money and his organisation ?
He did claim to the Marys that he had seen things they couldn't.
More perhaps anon

Marrakesh

Hot, noisy, call to prayer at four in the morning, souks selling trashy goods, traffic a maelstrom of madness.
A public haman with a seventy nine year old masseur pounding my fragile body, another visit to a private haman with gentle body massage.
Displays of meat and flies.
Yves St Laurent Gardens, a haven of coolness and peace.
Good vibes with all the family.
A sensational party for my nephew Jean in luxurious surroundings with camel and belly dancers.
An attack of the splosharoonies meant a loss of some weight.
Read Rise and Rise of Richard B Cheney and The Vulcans
Home to more sales from lazybeescripts including Hungary, USA and Canada
To The Depot on Thursday to hopefully complete Bitter Fruit
Start East Ham Wednesday
Garden still looking good
Love to all my readers
